tere kaul-o-karar se pahale
apne kuchh aur bhi the sahare
Apne na sahi aur ke sahi ,aapne auro ke waste kuchh kiya to sahi
The second line is delightful, almost amusing. It expresses so much.
The idea of contrasting the finiteness of life with limitless emotions is very beautiful and often reminds of various poets:
Jaur us sang dil ke sab na khinche
Umr ne sakht bewafaai ki
--Meer
Umr-e-daraaz maang ke laaye the chaar din,
Do aarzoo mein kat gaye do intezaar mein
-- Daagh
And of course, the melancholic realization of reality expressed in the couplet reminds us of these classics by Ghalib:
Tere waade pe jiye hum, to ye jaan jhooth jaana
or,
